Psyconcepts LLC
Psyconcepts,
Inc., is a wholly owned subsidiary of East New York Holdings, Limited. We are
a diversity consultation and counseling concern based in New York and Washington, DC.
Psyconcepts applies cutting edge solutions to workplace challenges; enabling
managers to more effectively manage their staffs, and staff to become more
productive. Higher productivity results an in a marked increase in the bottom
line.
Our highly skilled staff has the background,
experience and skill sets to advise,
advocate, and counselor to mid, senior and executive management; and, to serve
as a catalyst for creating
a corporate culture of inclusion, which means embracing and leveraging the
benefits of building and maintaining a work force with a broad variety of
language skills and cultural backgrounds, as well as a wide range of ages,
physical abilities and disabilities.
By establishing
diversity
initiatives to spread this expanded, more inclusive concept of diversity to
vendors and suppliers, who themselves are demanding that diversity become an
integral part of the way institutions do business; we can achieve that
objective through seminars to
educate the broader community about diversity and multiculturalism and, more
importantly, how it impacts a company's bottom line.
We use
the Tavistock approach in our assessment, diagnosis, and remediation. The method started and practiced at the Tavistock Institute in London (http://www.tavinstitute.org/).
This school of thought tries to understand organizational behavior and
consulting to organizations from psychodynamic, albeit Freudian stance.
Our
staff is comprised primarily of college level instructors who teach this
approach on the college level. The
marked benefit from teaching is that an instructor much be able to translate
complex concepts and abstruse theories into effective real world solutions
that build upon best practices to drive the mission of the client company.
We
have garnered success in
guiding institutions into compliance with Title I and Title V of the Americans
with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA); Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
(Title VII); Equal Pay Act of 1963 (EPA); Age Discrimination in Employment Act
of 1967 (ADEA); Sections 501, 504 and 505 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973;
Civil Rights Act of 1991; Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, Title IX of
the Educational Amendments of 1972, and other applicable laws, regulations and
Executive Orders.
Born on the cusp period between the baby boom and hip-hop generations
respectively, our Chief Counseling Officer can navigate easily between both
communities. These influential generations are characterized by an
appreciation of diversity and intolerance of bigotry - i.e., ageism, sexism,
racism, elitism and homophobia - masked under the politically respectable
guise of conservatism. Let us provide effective, innovative solutions to the
issues, which may be hampering your company’s productivity. We offer
competitive fees.
